Descrizione

The microinjection system enables the transfer of dissolved or suspended substances into single cells or into 3D cellular structures (organoids) under precise microscopic control using direct pressure. This system is paired with a micromanipulator that guides a fine glass capillary loaded with the injection sample, allowing it to puncture and penetrate the cell structure accurately. Once the capillary tip has entered the target structure (such as organoids or cell compartments), a controlled and reproducible volume of solution is injected into the cell by applying pressure to the microcapillary via a microinjector. Upon completion of the injection, the capillary is withdrawn, and organoids or cell membranes reseal quickly with minimal damage to the cell structures.

Description

The system includes the FemtoJet 4i microinjector with its built-in compressor paired with the Eppendorf TransferMan™ 4r micromanipulator. The electronic connection between FemtoJet 4i and TransferMan™ 4r guarantees simple, rapid and reproducible microinjections into cells.

  • The electronic microinjector, FemtoJet 4i, with its simple operation and wide range of functionality is ideally suited for injecting small to intermediate volumes of up to 100 pL into adherent cells, suspension celland 3D cell structures (organoids);
  • Injection volume ranges from femtoliters to microliters;
  • Inject and Clean function can be triggered right on the device using the included mouse;
  • Programmable injection parameters guarantee reproducibility;
  • Connection to TransferMan™ 4r enables semi-automatic microinjection;
  • Independent pressure supply via built-in compressor.
