3D Modeling & BIM. Data Modeling & Management for AECO Industry

stiano sviluppando in queste direzioni.

Digital Innovation and Design Complexity

The transformations created about the design activity by the several challenges started by the economies crisis, climate change and environmental emergencies, together with the impact of the Web and ICT on social and productive systems, highlight many critical issues, but also significant prospects for updating concerning places, forms, contents and operating methods of “making architecture”, at all levels and scales.

BIM semantic-enrichment for built heritage representation

In the built heritage context, BIM has shown difficulties in representing and managing the large and complex knowledge related to non-geometrical aspects of the heritage. Within this scope, this paper focuses on a domain-specific semantic-enrichment of BIM methodology, aimed at fulfilling semantic representation requirements of built heritage through Semantic Web technologies. To develop this semantic-enriched BIM approach, this research relies on the integration of a BIM environment with a knowledge base created through information ontologies.

Experimental envelopes and their integration in the Building Information Modeling energy simulation process

The present contribution deals with an ongoing Italian research which includes several steps and it is approaching to its final stage. The main goal is analysing and testing the feasibility of municipal waste reuse for designing building envelopes for Near Zero Energy Buildings (NZEB), so as to contribute to the decreasing demand for energy and improve eco-friendly waste management in urban areas.

BIM for Healthy Buildings. An Integrated Approach of Architectural Design based on IAQ Prediction

The relationship between users and the built environment represents a fundamental aspect of health. The factors that define the properties linked to health and well-being are increasingly becoming part of building design. In these terms, building information modelling (BIM) and BIM-based performance simulation take on a priority role. Among the key features for the design of Healthy Buildings, indoor air quality (IAQ) plays a central role. There are numerous indoor pollutants with significant health effects; volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are to be mentioned among these.

BIM 7D.

inquinanti nell’aria indoor.

The future of Heritage Science and Technologies from a legal point of view

The development and the prospect of future cultural heritage should certainly be confronted with the development of new technologies applied to the arts which, from a legal point of view, implies mainly three important aspects.1. Copyrights for software: this seems to be the least interesting for the jurists as many aspects have already been addressed and solved, and therefore on will just quickly list some of them.

L’HBIM Historical Building Information Modeling and the BIM
