Wayfinding nella comunicazione territorial. Applicazioni per la Ciociaria

Una delle maggiori difficoltà che un individuo trova in un’ambiente è ricevere sufficienti informazioni per relazionarsi con esso, mediante un efficace sistema di “comunicazione ambientale”, anche noto con il termine di “wayfinding”.
Il “wayfinding” è la scienza che si occupa della pianificazione e progettazione di sistemi segnaletici di orientamento tradizionali e tecnologici che aiutino gli utenti a scegliere e seguire un percorso che porti ad una destinazione definita; è l’insieme dei segnali che utilizziamo per capire dove siamo e dove stiamo andando.

Residential place attachment as an adaptive strategy for coping with the reduction of spatial abilities in old age

This study intended to test whether attachment to one's own residential place at neighborhood level could represent a coping response for the elderly (consistently with the "docility hypothesis"; Lawton, 1982), when dealing with the demands of unfamiliar environments, in order to balance their reduction of spatial abilities. Specifically, a sequential path was tested, in which neighborhood attachment was expected to play a buffer role between lowered spatial competence and neighborhood satisfaction.

The role of emotional landmarks on topographical memory

The investigation of the role of emotional landmarks on human navigation has been
almost totally neglected in psychological research. Therefore, the extent to which
positive and negative emotional landmarks affect topographical memory as compared
to neutral emotional landmark was explored. Positive, negative and neutral affectladen
