Modellistica della Combustione
This research group is involved in the development of mathematical models and computational techniques in Reacting Flows (Combustion, Aero-thermo-chemistry); model reduction, analysis, and solution of large chemical kinetic mechanisms in view of CFD applications; development of stiff solvers for dissipative non linear systems. The latest research work is in UQ problems in Reacting Flow.
We collaborate with AVIO S.p.A. in the development of thrust chambers for liquid rocket engines.
We collaborate with CCRC at KAUST in joint research activtities, co-tutele PhD Programs, internships.
We can resort to a Sapienza HPC infrastructure named Monolith.
