Notch in T-cell development and disease - UNIT

Notch signaling pathway is deeply involved in T-cell development and differentiation and, consequently, its dysregulation influences the onset and progression of different diseases, including T-cell leukemia and autoimmune diabetes. Main research interests of our lab are focused on defining cellular and molecular mechanisms through which Notch receptors exert their pathological role in these contexts, with particular regards to: (1) the development and progression of  T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL); (2) the generation and function of Treg and MDSC in the microenvironment of T-ALL and autoimmune diabetes.
