The paper examines the recent case-law of the Italian Constitutional Court with respect to the national law-EU law- ECHR relationship. After having pointed out the assessments that have been reached at such proposal, due to the Court’s effort of maintaining an open dialogue with the European and national courts, it focuses on the elements that might put at risk such assessments, and attempts to demonstrate why the Italian Constitutional Court should not aban- don its traditional approach, that proved to meet with success even in a series of recent occasions.
