Interessi di ricerca

The focus of my research concerns the detection of directional patterns of phenotypic evolution in extant and fossil taxa of the order Carnivora. In particular, I am studying persistent and directional variations in size and shape of the cranio-mandibular complex in response to ecological shifts and/or through time. I am interested in evolutionary patterns, phenotypic quantification, basic concepts of evolutionary ecology and their respective interactions at the macroevolutionary scale.
