Interessi di ricerca

Dr. Andrea Lapi has strong background in physical organic chemistry. His main research activity regards the study of the property and reactivity of aromatic radical cations, the role of electron transfer steps in organic and bioorganic reactions, the mechanism of enzymatic and biomimetic oxidation of organic substrates, the reactivity of singlet oxygen with aromatic compounds and the properties of ionic liquids as reaction media. In the last years he devoted his interests towards the study of the reaction mechanisms involved in the oxidation of organic substrates promoted by N-oxyl radicals and non-heme iron complexes.
