Interessi di ricerca

2-(Idrossiimmino)aldeidi e loro applicazioni
L'attività di ricerca si concentra sullo studio delle proprietà chimico-fisiche e fotochimiche di derivati delle ossime, le 2-(idrossiimmino)aldeidi (HIA) di struttura generale R-C(=NOH)CHO.

Lo studio riguarda diversi aspetti principali: il comportamento fotochimico delle HIA, la sintesi di copolimeri multi-stimolo sensibili contenenti questo nuovo gruppo funzionale, le loro capacità di complessare ioni metallici e la possibilità di utilizzarle come profarmaci per la cura di infezioni microbiche e/o di tumori
