Interessi di ricerca

For several years, the main research project was the characterization of non-histone chromosomal proteins. After that the attention has been focused on nuclear protein purification and characterization, protein-protein and protein-DNA interactions.  Particular interest is addressed to the analysis of PDIA3, a  protein disulfide isomerase, and its cellular functions.  Current research cover the analysis of protein involved in signal transduction, cancer onset and progression, and oxidative stress response, as well as the screening of bioactive compounds and their impact on protein functionality.
