Within the contemporary unquestionable decline of small historical centers and their marginal distressed
territorial domains, accessibility, in its different dimensions, plays a crucial role in implementing regeneration strategies.
Following the international streams, in Italy, new strategic lines recognize the identity of historical infrastructures (downgraded
railways, transhumance routes, local hubs) as common goods able to support policies, plans, and projects
aimed at inter-municipal cohesion, resilience, urban and regional sustainability.
