La pieve di Santa Maria in Acquedotto (Forlì). Un percorso multidisciplinare dalla conoscenza del monumento all'intervento di restauro
The present contribution is aimed to explain the multidisciplinary path that, starting from the direct knowledge of the architectural complex, has led to the restoration works carried out on the parish church of Santa Maria in Acquedotto, near Forlì. An in-depth historical research, the direct observation of the monument, the analysis of the crack pattern through the comparison with photos taken some decades ago and the implementation of chosen instrumental investigations have been a substantial part of the knowledge path. By means of the interpretation of the acquired data, this process has brought to the diagnosis of the identified issues. The historical-critical approach, forming the basis of the whole process, has allowed to evaluate with awareness the appropriate design choices, afterwards even more improved in the restoration site through further data obtained during the works. Ultimately, the contribution of different disciplines jointly with the positive interchange among the involved professionals had the effect, at the end of the diagnostic phase, to set up an exhaustive cognitive context, so to evaluate the best solutions for executive-design.
