Extracellular vesicles/ncRNAs-mediated multicellular dynamics
Our research projects aim at the identification of RNA-binding proteins interacting with microRNAs and responsible for their loading into small extracellular vesicles.
We are also investigating how epitranscriptomic modifications of RNAs shape these interactions, and how they regulate the function of long non-coding RNAs during key processes such as the epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition and tumor development.
We are also developing new therapeutic strategies based on epigenetic drugs, including nanoparticle-encapsulated formulations, with the aim of modulating gene expression in tumorigenesis, epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition, and neurodegenerative diseases.
