RISULTATI A LUNGO TERMINE SULLA QUALITÀ DI VITA (QOL) IN PAZIENTI CON TUMORE DEL RETTO TRATTATI CON ENDOLUMINAL LOCO-REGIONAL RESECTION BY TEM VS LAPAROSCOPIC TOTAL MESORECTAL EXCISION

Obiettivi: La Endoluminal Loco-Regional Resection tramite Microchirurgia Endoscopica Transanale (ELRR by TEM) può
L’obiettivo

Quality of Life in Rectal Cancer Treated by Endoluminal Loco-Regional Resection by Tem Vs Laparoscopic Total Mesorectal Excision: Long Term Results

Background:
Endoluminal loco-regional resection (ELRR) by transanal endoscopic
microsurgery (TEM) may be an alternative treatment option to laparoscopic total
mesorectal excision (LTME), in selected patients with N0 rectal cancer. Post-operative
Quality of Life (QoL) evaluation is an important parameter of outcomes related to high
percentage of functional sequelae. We reported, in a previous published paper, the short and
medium term results of QoL in patients underwent ELRR by TEM or LTME.
Aim:

Italian validation of the functional difficulties questionnaire (FDQ-9) and its correlation with major determinants of quality of life in adults with hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome/hypermobility spectrum disorder

The 2017 nosology defines the new criteria for hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (hEDS), which is now considered one end of a continuous spectrum encompassing isolated, nonsyndromic joint hypermobility (JH) and hypermobility spectrum disorders (HSDs). Preliminary data indicate a link between JH and neurodevelopmental disorders and, in particular, developmental coordination disorder (DCD) in children. Assessing DCD in adults is difficult and the recently described functional difficulties questionnaire 9 (FDQ-9) is one of the few available tools.

Treatment of the Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser syndrome with autologous in vitro cultured vaginal tissue. descriptive study of long-term results and patient outcomes

OBJECTIVE:
Evaluating sexual function and quality of life (QoL) in patients treated with a modified Abbé-McIndoe technique using in vitro cultured autologous vaginal mucosa.
DESIGN:
Descriptive study.
SETTING:
Policlinico Umberto I, "Sapienza" University of Rome.
POPULATION:
From 2006 to 2016, 39 women affected by Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser syndrome (MRKHS) underwent vaginoplasty at our center using a modified Abbé-McIndoe technique with in vitro cultured autologous vaginal tissue.
METHODS:

One-stage muscle-sparing breast reconstruction in elderly patients: a new tool for retaining excellent quality of life

More than 50% of breast cancer care occurs in elderly but women aged 65 and over generally have lower breast reconstruction (BR) rates. In medical literature, few papers focused on BR in elderly patients and usually the reported techniques are multisteps such as expander-implant reconstruction, local, and free flaps. We present a one-stage reconstruction technique employed in elderly patients: muscle-sparing immediate BR with subcutaneous implant and Braxon acellular dermal matrix.
