Project Objectives:
The Pro-TELDE project aims to promote the purposeful use of digital technologies and technology-enhanced learning in higher education institutions in South Africa.
The project has the objective of providing Higher Education (HE) lecturers with the skills to:
- Be introduced to the potentialities of digital education and technologyenhanced learning (TEL).
- Identify and select existing open digital sources that can be used for teaching.
- Deliver hybrid or online courses
- Integrate TEL in traditional faceto-face teaching
- Develop digital teaching sources
Target Groups
The project is addressed to (HE) lecturers teaching business and economics subjects willing to upgrade their digital skills and to promote TEL.
Project Activities
The Pro-TELDE project is organised in the following WPs:
WP1) Online Training Programme on Basic Digital Skills for (HE) lecturers of business and economics subjects;
WP2) Online Training Programme on the Methodologies to successfully deliver digital-based education and promote TEL;
WP3) Online Training Programme on the creation of digital teaching sources in the fields of business and economics;
WP4) Guidelines and e-Assessment Tool on the Identification and Selection of quality OER digital teaching sources;
WP5) Online Repository of selected are reviewed digital-based teaching sources (available free of charge, open-source) for teaching and learning in the fields of business and economics.
