Integrated Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) system which consists of the following items:

  1. Ion Gene Studio S5 System. It is a reliable NGS system that combines simple sample preparation and data analysis solutions with flexible chip output for ultimate project flexibility.  The System comprises:
  • Ion Gene Studio S5 System. The Ion Gene Studio S5™ System is a reliable NGS platform that combines simple sample preparation and data analysis solutions with flexible chip output for ultimate project flexibility. Ion Torrent™ Technology directly translates chemically encoded information (A, C, G, T) into digital information (0, 1) on a semiconductor chip. The result is a sequencing technology that is simpler, faster, and more cost-effective and scalable than any other next-generation sequencing (NGS) technology available.
  • Ion Chip Minicentrifuge-230VAC. It is designed and calibrated specifically for centrifugation of Ion Gene Studio S5 chips, enabling effective and efficient sample loading. 
  1. Ion One Touch 2 System provides an automated solution for scalable and reproducible template preparation. The System comprises two modules:
  • Ion OneTouch™ 2 Instrument that enables automated delivery of templated Ion Sphere™ particles,
  • Ion OneTouch™ ES (enrichment system) that isolates template-positive Ion Sphere™ particles that can be loaded directly onto the Ion semiconductor chip, delivering automated, highly reproducible enrichment with every run.
  1. Torrent Server. The computing hardware that supports the Ion Gene Studio S5 System. It converts raw signal into base calls and performs preliminary reference genome alignment and outputs data in FASTQ and SFF formats for easy downstream analysis with optional third party analysis tools. It can also provide access to a web portal for data review and sharing.

 

  1. Qubit® 3.0 Fluorometer, which enables quick and easy assessment of Ion Sphere™ Particles (ISPs) prior to performing a sequencing run on the Ion Gene Studio S5 Sequencer. This quality-control step using the Qubit® Fluorometer helps determine the likelihood of a successful sequencing run, ultimately saving time and expense during subsequent sequencing.

 

  1. QuantStudio 3D Digital PCR System. An affordable platform that produces absolute quantification data with the high precision and sensitivity. It enables accurate and precise library quantification, a critical step in NGS workflows, allowing for maximizing sequencing yields downstream. The System comprises the following items:
  • Proflex Dual Flat PCR System. This system is an end-point thermal cycler, specifically designed for the amplification of nucleic acids using the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) process.
  • QS 3D DPCR Chip Loader. The chip loader enables operator consistency and data reproducibility during chip loading.
  • QS 3D DPCR Instrument W PWR CORD. The instrument reads and analyzes the QuantStudio™ 3D Digital PCR chips after PCR amplification. Small and lightweight, the instrument reads the QuantStudio™ 3D Digital PCR Chip in minutes and is designed to deliver accurate, sensitive, and precise digital PCR data.
