Anosmia and ageusia as predictive signs of COVID-19 in healthcare workers in Italy: a prospective case-control study
The aim of this study was to investigate the diagnostic accuracy of symptoms and signs in healthcare workers (HCW) with Sars-CoV-2.

Aim: This analysis evaluated the efficacy and safety of nivolumab, an immune checkpoint inhibitor, in elderly patients with stage IIIB or IV squamous non–small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) enrolled in the expanded access programme (EAP) in Italy. Methods: Nivolumab was available on physician request. Safety data included adverse events (AEs). Efficacy data included investigator-assessed tumour response, progression date and survival information. Results were analysed for patients aged
Background: In most cases, T790M EGFR-positive NSCLC patients receiving osimertinib developed “non-drugable” progression, as the patients with common EGFR-sensitizing mutations were treated with first-line osimertinib. In both settings, chemotherapy represents the standard treatment and local ablative treatments (LATs) are potential useful options in the case of oligo-progression.
Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) are the leading cause of death, disability and hospitalization in Italy. Primary prevention strategies are able to prevent clinically evident CVDs, mostly by early identifying asymptomatic, otherwise healthy individuals at risk of developing CVDs. A more modern approach recommended for effective CVD prevention is based on “4P”, that is: Predictive, Preventive, Personalized and Participative.

Objective Current guidelines recommend precautionary disqualification from competitive sports in patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). We assessed the incidence of cardiovascular events in a cohort of patients with HCM engaged in long-term exercise programmes and competitive sport. Methods We reviewed data on 88 consecutive athletes diagnosed with HCM, from 1997 to 2017; 92 male, 98 Caucasian, median age 31 (IQR: 19-44) years. All participated in regular exercise programmes and competitive sport at study entry. We performed follow-up evaluation after 7±5 (1-21) years.
This paper traces the network of research Institutions working in Italy on the theme of sustainability from various disciplinary points of view, in particular from those of Economics and of Management, highlighting their main character in terms of Authors, scientific papers, topics most frequently dealt with, relationships betweenthem. The network analysis is provided adapting methods of bibliographic mapping and clustering of scientific production.
Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to contribute to the literature on financial reporting quality (FRQ) within family firms (FFs), assessing whether longevity can determine a different propensity to earning management (EM) behaviors.
Objectives: Lung transplantation is currently the only treatment for end-stage respiratory failure in patients with cystic fibrosis (CF). In this study we retrospectively analyzed our experience since the start of the transplantation program in 1996 with focus on survival analysis. Methods: All patients with CF who underwent lung transplant at our center were included (1996–2016). Survival analysis after lung transplant was performed using the Kaplan-Meier estimate, comparing by sex and by 4 eras (1996–2000, 2001–2005, 2006–2010, and 2011–2016).
