Marco Fasolo is Coordinator of Research Unit 'Descriptive Geometry'. The research unit 'Descriptive Geometry' was created in 2011 and set up with the aim of promoting the renewal of the studies, the research and the teaching of Descriptive Geometry and its applications. This renewal arises from the development and application of the information technology to the classic themes of descriptive and projective geometry, as perspective, photogrammetry, the description of surfaces and their properties. It also concerns the study of the history of descriptive geometry, including its remote origins, the achievements from the Renaissance to the Industrial Revolution, the developments in the Contemporary Age, and therefore not limited to Gaspard Monge and his school. The results of the Research Unit's activities can be seen at: http://www.descriptivegeometry.eu
The Research Unit is based in Rome, via di Ripetta, 123.
